A New Year

A new year is here. Crap! I'm usually pretty anti-new year's resolutions.........but 2011 finds me cleaning up the loose ends (i.e. beers) of my diet and also starting to focus on my/our longevity more.

 Having mobility now and well into our later years might be the most important thing I hope people gain from our facility. That being said, I'm going to start implementing Kelly Starrett's Mobility WODs into each of our workouts. The goal of the MWODs is to increase Joint Mobility.The dude really knows his stuff and takes time out of each day to post mobility workouts for public benefit. Check out his bio/credentials HERE.  I will be doing a MWOD daily (following his program) and encourage you to do the same....even on the days that you are not attending C.C.S.C.  They are short (4-10min.) and can be performed at home while watching the tube.  Keep in mind that we're starting with day #1 (not the current day #135 WOD).  Today was day #2, tomorrow day #3, etc.

As for 2011........I could not be more excited at the direction our facility is heading.  We have a foundation of GREAT people that have made all of this possible.  I love coaching and learning from all of you but I think the results you have made in such a short amount of time bring me the most satisfaction.  Thank you all!!!  Keep on training to "NOT SUCK AT LIFE!"
