Thursday's RAD crew had new sandbags to play with. We ran a short obstacle course to try them out. I'm really diggin' the new bags..........and look forward to getting some more made up. Here's the tally:
Big props to Rob for staying late and attempting a 5th round (only 4 rounds were programmed) in order to better his time. It paid off........as it ended up being his best time of the day. Good job dude. On a side note, the coolest thing I heard tonight was Rob giving me an update on his boy Trent. Trent just started Pop-Warner Football and cannot attend CrossFit anymore. Apparently, now he wants to quit football.........so that he can just come to CrossFit full-time. AWESOME! Of course I'm not going to let this happen...............but AWESOME!
Toby also killed it........hitting each round in around 2-min flat (even with a lame back).
Here's a list of the people that did the Rx'd HSPU:
-Amanda
-Toby
-Justin
-Greg
-Colby
-Austin
Dessert tonight was actually an indulgence. We had an ice chest full of ice-cold Sierra Nevadas waiting for post game. 20 burpees got ya a barley pop. I know it's not paleo.......and totally goes against what I'm preachin'...........but we're all still human. The key is to make the cheat(s) a treat.........and not the norm. I promise tomorrow's "Dessert" will be back to normal.
Good job to you RAD people that did not indulge in the frothy-ness because of your newly aquired paleo goals!
Charley joined Chris (guy) and Chris (gal) for the evening On-Ramp class. All three newbies did a fine job on the WOD which consisted of deadlifts, kettlebell swings and push-presses. Chris (guy) evening knocked out a 2:13 600m run afterwards.
Burpee Credit Question:
First 3 RAD people to give me a RIGHT answer to this question get 10 credits.
"Why do we (humans) need grain and dairy products in our diets?"
Email or text me your answers.
See ya next time.
