Tristan brought his sister Tasha by for the 4:00pm workout.  Today's WOD called for 45 pushups......and I explained to her that she could scale them if needed (do them on her knees).  She said "I'll be fine."  She had perfect push-ups........all the way through.  Good job Tasha.  You're gonna fit right in.
We've had another great start to the week.  Yesterday's L-O-N-G workout was followed up by some deadlifts and a short (but intense) metcon today.  I'm seeing some really good goals up on the board.  The easy part is writing them up there.  The hard part is checking them off.  
You earn your checkmarks through hard work on a day-to-day basis.  Nothing worth having ever comes easily........and handstand pushups, sub 22-min. 5k's, strict pullups and muscle ups are no exception.  I'd say over 75% of the goals I've seen so far are "strength oriented."  If those truly are your goals...........you might start to see some more "strength-only" days in the future.  Just remember to give those workouts the same intensity that you give the lung burners.
